About Us

About QTekLaser™

QTEK LASER, LLC designs and manufactures precision fiber-laser and nonlinear optical systems for the quantum, nuclear energy, and scientific-instrumentation industries. From our factory in Waltham, Massachusetts, we build narrow-linewidth, polarization-maintaining laser sources and amplifiers that are deployed in quantum computing, quantum sensing and networking, atomic clocks, precision measurement, and AMO research laboratories worldwide. With deep experience in laser engineering, atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, quantum computing, aerospace, and scientific instrumentation, we deliver the highest-performance, most reliable, and highest-quality products for our customers.

Engineered and built in-house

Every QTekLaser™ system is developed and assembled at our own facility. We build on an all-fiber, polarization-maintaining architecture and integrate the complete signal chain:  seed laser, low-noise multi-stage fiber amplifier, and, where required, second-harmonic (SHG) or sum-frequency (SFG) conversion into a single packaged instrument. Our expertise in fiber-laser engineering and nonlinear frequency conversion lets us deliver specific wavelengths from the visible through the near-infrared, spanning roughly 300 to 2040 nm, with additional wavelengths available on request. Systems ship in standard 3U and 4U 19-inch rack-mount chassis with IoT-enabled control and TCP/IP monitoring.

Built for continuous operation

Our customers run their experiments and production lines around the clock, and our lasers are engineered to match. An SBS-free design, low-noise drive electronics, efficient thermal management, vibration-resistant packaging, and stage-by-stage interlocks give the long-term stability and reliability that demanding 24/7 environments require. Every unit is characterized and verified before it leaves the factory.

Manufactured in the USA

QTekLaser™ products are manufactured in Waltham, Massachusetts and supplied directly from the factory to customers worldwide. Domestic design and production give our customers a shorter, more transparent supply chain and direct access to the engineers who build their systems.

Quality and compliance

All QTekLaser™ systems comply with U.S. federal regulations (21 CFR Subchapter J, Part 1040) as administered by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health, and are certified to IEC 60825-1:2014 laser-safety standards.

Custom engineering

Beyond our standard catalog, we develop custom laser systems to meet specific wavelength, power-scaling, low-noise, or packaging requirements, including full development, packaging, and verification. If your application calls for a source that doesn't exist yet, contact the factory to discuss it.
